Had some time on my hands, some typing paper in my bag and a fountain pen. I might expand on the dog theme. Butler is a very talented creature.

An update.

Hello again, to those who keep track of my blog space.

A quick summary of current events. I've been living in San Francisco for the past year, taking a break from any illustrating. (No calls, so it wasn't all that difficult.)

I've just moved back to Minneapolis. Been here about a week and have started working on sketches daily. Won't have anything up for a few days as my studio doesn't quite exist yet. But it feels good to start working again - even this little bit.

I've been hearing that many of my colleagues have been without work for a few months. I am scared of what the next year is going to look like for me. Persistence is the best tool to have in this business. I must have something resembling it in me as I'm still at it. (Or maybe I'm just content with no money, no retirement and embarrassingly, no game plan.) We'll see, is the best I can do at this time.
